In 2004 he made Melbourne his home base, performing often, as part of Jazz-infected Reggae band. Skankin. He also joined the Air Force Band. Barney had occasionally filled in for Grand Wazoo years earlier,and was offered the Bass Chair, but his  commitments made it impossible at that time. In 2008 he  came aboard, and we are pleased to finally have him in the Wazoo family. As well as Grand Wazoo, Barney also performs with the John Montesante Quintet from time to time.
